John Cannavan

John Cannavan is a graduate in drawing and painting from Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen.  He subsequently gained an Honours degree in Art History from the Open University.  John taught art in Edinburgh schools for over thirty years before leaving in 2005 to concentrate solely on painting. 

Painting in oils, he has developed a vibrant and painterly technique with which to interpret the landscape,  seascape, townscape and wildlife of Scotland.

John exhibits work in several Scottish galleries and has work in many private collections throughout the world.  His wok has also been repreoduced in the Scottish parliament.
