Diane Lilley
I was born in Edinburgh and returned to study for my degree in Illustration, Jewellery and Silversmithing at
Edinburgh College of Art. Here I fell in love with printmaking, both relief and silk screen.
I currently divide my time between North Berwick and Buckinghamshire, where I am inspired by nature in both locations.
The variety of flowers and foliage found within my garden are a big influence on my work. I am interested in the way colour and light are portrayed within different times of the day and night and my large screen prints reflect this. Each one is unique, there are no editions. I layer every colour separately and each piece of work is created over many weeks.
