Katie Braida
Katie is based in Scarborough and uses hand-building techniques to create Earthenware vessels and forms.She works with White Ashraf Hanna clay and applies colour using oxides and underglaze colours. Inspiration comes from the landscape and seascape around where she lives and she is influenced by the man made and natural marks in the environment on both a large and small scale.'A constant is the need to make and a desire to get better at it'.
