Rosanne Barr
Not the landscape itself, but the memory of it afterwards, is the concept at the heart of Rosanne's work. She aims to
exploreand capture the mood, emotion and colours of the place through the sands of lapsed time. These are imagined places, but based on direct experience. Heightened colours of sunrise, sunset and storm along with simplified shape
are the basis of her distinctive, abstract style.
Rosanne graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone in 2003, she exhibits widely and her work is held in many private collections worldwide. She lives in Milgavie, painting full-time in her garden studio at the gateway to the
West Highland Way.
