Shirley Girdwood
Shirley seeks much of her inspiration in the sub and liminal spaces, evoked and revealed in the depths of Celtic mythology,
Hebridean landscape, surrealism and forgotten knowledge.
Internationally exhibited and awarded, Shirley spends much of her time in North Uist where she finds relentless inspiration in the magical and spectral combination of light, weather, legend and water.
Shirley works from her studio in Dovehill, Glasgow.
